Sebastian Olver and QR Reds Captain James Horwill are teaming up for this year's shave. Sebastian is 11 years old and his uncle Peter had leukaemia. Peter had the leukaemia for 6 years, and was 42 years old when he died. Peter has three children and a beautiful wife and he was the best uncle. He was a plumber, he loved rugby and watching all sport. Camping and lying under the stars was something he loved to do. James is captain of the QR Reds and plays in the second row. He went to the same school as Sebastian and when he got the call to be brave and shave he jumped at the chance to help Sebastian out. “I was really impressed by Seb’s commitment for someone of such a young age and whatever I can do to help him and the cause I’m happy to do,” Horwill said. “Hopefully we can raise at least $10,000 for the Foundation, if not more.” The reason the boys are doing this challenge is to raise a lot of money for the Leukaemia Foundation so that maybe we can prevent people losing a loved one and going through the pain that Sebastian watched his family go through.
